The Harefield Practice

We  are a 3 partner 3 salaried doctor  practice in the village  of Harefield with a list of 9300. Harefield retains a village feel and we  know  our patients  fairly well. Our population is much more deprived than the surrounding are with  higher prevalence  of smoking related illness. We look  after three care homes. We have  been a training  practice for well over  30 years and place a strong emphasis on education. We also regularly have medical students in the practice . We like to think we are a friendly and fun practice to work in. We have  weekly  clinical meetings and quarterly educational  evenings with food . The doctors  all have special interests including  dermatology, cardiology and gynaecology.

Oxford Drive  Medical Centre

This is  a  three partner practice in Ruislip and  has  easy access to the A40. The practice  partners are well established  and are all trainers. Two  are  attached to the  Hillingdon VTS scheme and one is  attached to the  Watford VTS scheme. All three  partners  are  appraisers and  involved in teaching medical students. One partner is also a programme  director for Ealing VTS scheme and another partner is the convenor  for Hillingdon trainer workshop.

The Abbotsbury Practice

Welcome to The Abbotsbury Practice

We have been a  training practice since 1994. We work  from a health centre in Eastcote and have 6500 patients . There are currently two trainers in the practice : Shalin  Bhattessa and  Peter Joseph. Our special interests include dermatology , diabetes and minor  surgery. We enjoy having  learners  as part of our team and  make every effort to make them  welcome.

Cedarbrook Practice

We  are a  friendly  5 partner practice working from  a beautiful, modern, purpose built building in North Hayes. We have 10,500 patients  with  40% BAME patients  and two small pockets of  deprivation in our practice  area .  We have 2 trainers at the practice – Dr Sue Thurlow who is also one of the programme directors for Hillingdon GPSTP and Dr Jane Carter. The practice  also has  F2  placements, and  medical  students  from  Imperial . The practice is  fast paced  with excellent exposure to a wide variety of clinical medicine. There is high exposure to  paediatrics , mental health  and diabetes compared to other practices in Hillingdon.

GP Direct

GP direct is a well established training practice in  Harrow, not  far from the  border with Hillingdon, working out of  recently  refurbished premises.  We have a team of 12 doctors who combine a wealth of experience- including three trainers with extensive experience in GP and foundation  training  ; GPs   with interests in  cardiology diabetes women’s  health and more ; a passion for innovative  development and  clinical excellence ; with an eye to future  developments in the NHS; who get consistently high ratings for patients.We have a  large and varied patient  population and try to offer a rich learning experience  in a friendly and supportive environment.
